About Soetdoring Lodge
Soetdoring Lodge is not just another beautiful place to stay in South Africa’s bushveld. Its true beauty lies in the fact that it could be called the Taj Mahal of the Waterberg.
In 2004, Molly Gaddin dreamed of buying a small piece of land just outside Bela Bela, near her parents’ resting place. She wanted a sanctuary where her city-dwelling grandchildren could experience the joy of playing with their feet in the sand. Gigi acquired the Soetdoring farm, which was then nothing more than bushveld used for grazing cattle.
In 2005, Molly passed away from cancer. To honor her dying wish, Gigi poured love and energy into transforming the farm into a beloved retreat for their grandchildren.
We take great pleasure in sharing our home with you, welcoming you into our little piece of paradise in the South African bushveld.
